Bird Paradise Reserve

The Ptasi Raj Reserve is a protected area located on Sobieszewska Island in Gdańsk. The reserve covers an area of ​​198 ha and includes a complex of lakes, marshes, forests and meadows. There are over 200 species of birds in the reserve, of which 45 species nest permanently. During spring and autumn migrations, over 100,000 birds fly through the reserve. The reserve includes a 6 km nature and educational trail. The trail is equipped with information boards about the surrounding nature. Mewia Łacha Reserve

Kamienna Grobla at the mouth of the Wisła Śmiała

The Kamienna Grobla at the mouth of the Wisła Śmiała is a communication causeway separating the Wisła Śmiała from Lake Ptasi Raj. It was built in the years 1887-1888 to make the mouth of the river passable. The causeway is about 2.5 kilometers long and about 10 meters high. The causeway is made of stones and concrete. At its top there is a road that leads to the town of Orle. The causeway is a popular place for recreation and bird watching.
