Spring aura has something unique about it - it awakens our senses to life, evoking joy and promising a new beginning. In this atmosphere, Easter takes on special significance, becoming not only a time of religious reflection, but also an opportunity to spend time with loved ones in the beautiful surroundings of the Baltic Sea.
Gdańsk, a city of contrasts and rich culture, offers countless opportunities to spend these holidays in a unique way, in harmony with nature and tradition, making them unforgettable for all who come here. That's why, like every year, I invite you to Gdańsk for Easter :)

By choosing to spend Easter in a hotel, you have the opportunity to relax in luxury and forget about everyday duties related to cooking or cleaning. Instead, it is worth using the hotel spa, swimming pool or sauna. This is the perfect opportunity to find time just for yourself and your loved ones.
Easter breakfast in the hotel restaurant is also an opportunity to taste exquisite dishes prepared by experienced chefs. More traditional or in the form of "variations" on tradition, it is a perfect excuse for a longer celebration, quiet conversations and capturing moments with family and friends. That's why I especially encourage you to try this alternative to the annual meeting at home :)

In spring, nature comes to life, offering us unique experiences of colors, sounds and smells. Walking outdoors, among blooming flowers and green parks, we can experience extraordinary harmony with the world around us. It is worth going for a spring, Easter walk to immerse yourself in this lively atmosphere, breathe fresh air and find peace in nature.
And where is worth going? The proposals that "won" the competition for family holidays with my loved ones this year are presented below.
If you don't know the answer to this question, I'll give you a hint where you can find it ;)
The Gdańsk Zoological Garden is a place that delights not only because of the beauty of its inhabitants, but also offers visitors an unforgettable experience.
On any day, regardless of the date, the zoo is ready to welcome visitors curious about the natural world. What's more, even on holidays, there is no need to make a reservation in advance - just come and enjoy the richness of the animal kingdom.
And there is no shortage of attractions. The main ones include demonstration feedings, during which caregivers present fascinating facts from the lives of their animals. During Easter you can see:

To make visiting easier, the zoo provides strollers to accommodate both luggage and the youngest visitors. This is an excellent option for families with children who want a comfortable and stress-free tour for hours. Well, and here I will repeat myself - there is plenty to explore. The area of the zoo is huge, but very sensibly landscaped. You will meet nearly 900 animals belonging to 146 species - living both in water and on land and in the air.
My youngest friends tell me that capybaras are currently in vogue among children - at the zoo you will have the opportunity to see them. As well as tigers, giraffes, hippos, wolves, kangaroos, crocodiles and much, much more.
The popularity of the place can be evidenced by the attendance - in 2023 more than 600,000 people had the opportunity to explore the extraordinary world of the Gdańsk zoo.

And if you have the strength to go further or do not plan to visit the zoo, I encourage you to take a walk in another "garden". Park Oliwski is a true oasis of peace and greenery. The park is open every day from 05:00 to 20:00, providing the opportunity to relax and discover its charms at different times of the day. It is worth going here in the morning, for example after Easter Sunday mass, to enjoy the singing of birds that bring the area to life, or in the evening, when it is bathed in the rays of the setting sun.

I especially encourage you to visit the Japanese-style Garden, referring to the historical and contemporary gardens of this Asian country. In addition to the traditional wooden gate, gazebo and stone lamp, noteworthy are flower beds with Far Eastern flowers, shrubs and... Japanese cherry trees.
Oliwski Park is the perfect place for a relaxing walk among nature, during which you can break away from the hustle and bustle of the city and gain new energy, while remaining in the heart of Gdańsk.

For many residents and tourists, the symbol of the Catholic religion in Gdańsk is the Oliwa Archcathedral. The church is not only a monument, but also a true confirmation of the spiritual wealth of the city.
And although I have not yet found information about masses during Easter, I encourage you to follow parish announcements to experience these most important holidays for Catholics in such a unique temple.
And for those for whom the religious aspect of the holidays is not important, I encourage you to visit for purely tourist reasons. Walking around the cloisters and courtyards of the Archcathedral, you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of past centuries, observing the intricately decorated details and monumental columns. It is also impossible to miss the main interior of the cathedral, where the eye is drawn to stained glass windows and paintings telling biblical stories.

Regardless of whether Easter means deep connections with the Catholic tradition for you, or is simply an opportunity to rest and spend time with your loved ones, I hope that it will be a time full of joy and peace. May the rays of the spring sun surround you with warmth, and the atmosphere of this special time will allow you to focus on what is really important in your life. Let Easter be a moment of reflection, gratitude and sharing love with your loved ones.
