Dreams of winter adventures always come to life with the first snowflakes. There is nothing stopping us from giving our children a chance to fulfill their dreams and allowing them to have a little family break from everyday life during the winter holidays. And these have just started in some voivodeships. Although today's world is rushing and providing challenges, it is worth giving yourself time and permission to create the most beautiful family memories. The winter break from studying is a great opportunity to have fun :)

Gdańsk is not only a city with a fascinating history, but also a perfect place on the map of winter family trips. Because where else does the frosty wind dance with the waves, creating charming landscapes on the beach, while it calms down between atmospheric tenement houses? If you are bored with typical resorts and want to experience something "more", I encourage you to visit the Tricity.
Find out why Gdańsk can be the dream place where winter holidays are a joyful combination of adventure, education and fun. All this against the background of the pearls of winter nature and architecture.
Toys in children's hands are like magic keys that open doors to undiscovered worlds. These are not just objects, but portals to countless adventures, where imagination prevails over reality, and even the simplest objects become tools that create unforgettable memories. Who among us doesn't remember backyard games with sticks, "bases" built from blankets and pillows to which only a few had access, or jumping rope?
Although toys have changed their form in the era of advanced technology, their essence has remained unchanged. They are still like little memories that remain in the hearts of children, shaping their development and enabling an interesting form of learning.
Therefore, to celebrate toys and fun, I invite you to three places where joy and fantasy create history :)
In the very heart of Gdańsk, at Piwna Street, there is an inconspicuous place where you can learn almost everything about toys ;)
In the Old Toys Gallery we can discover a unique collection, the result of many years of searching for the most interesting items. All available exhibits were produced in Poland and date from 1920-1989. For adults, the visit will be an extraordinary sentimental journey back to their childhood, while the youngest will find toys that their parents and (great) grandparents played with.

Visiting the gallery is also an opportunity to travel back in time. Children who only know modern cars and home decor will certainly be surprised by this sentimental time machine, because in miniature versions they will learn about the cars that roamed our roads years ago, and the furniture and accessories for dollhouses will reflect the unique character of old interiors.
Such a time travel will be an extraordinary opportunity for intergenerational conversation and perhaps inspire (not only) children to create their own world of toys. Collecting ideas, your own concepts, the DIY trend and opening up to creativity, and not just chasing new store products, is a perfect prelude to "experience" something together, and not just "check it off" a list.
Please note when planning your visit that the Gallery is closed on Mondays. On other days, for a really symbolic fee, you can travel back in time :)
LEGO® bricks need no introduction. They have fascinated children for years... and many adults ;) Building them is not only creative fun, but a real journey into the world of infinite possibilities. Each block holds the potential to create something extraordinary, but also a guarantee of a path to developing creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
If you're wondering whether to visit the LEGO® exhibition, the answer is definitely yes! It is not only an opportunity to admire fascinating structures, but also an inspiration to create your own extraordinary stories.

The Gdańsk exhibition allows you to meet both needs! In the exhibition part you will find exhibitions made of millions of blocks. And of course, everyone will like something different. However, when in Gdańsk, it is worth paying attention to the beautifully recreated Długi Targ. It will also be a great opportunity to recall together whether the exhibit reminds us of real buildings and attractions (and if we don't remember - I'm sure that the phone memory and many family selfies with the Neptune Fountain in the background will be helpful ;)). Children often have an excellent memory for details, so I'm curious what they will tell you.
Also sure to make an impression will be: Hogwarts, built from 100,000 bricks - the School of Magic known from the Harry Potter books, and the Batmobile, built from 900,000 bricks, next to which stands a Batman made on a 1:1 scale. You will also find plenty of other inspirations from the world of games, sports, history and art. Nothing to do but rub your eyes!
However, in order not to focus only on admiring, it is worth visiting the adjacent fun zone "Fun Park", a space for children to create their own exhibits. Be sure to take this point into account, because LEGO® is not just toys - it is the key to unlimited imagination, where everyone can become an architect, regardless of whether they will build a simple tower from a few bricks or their building will be closer to the Palace of Culture and Science.
You can buy a common ticket for both attractions.
If you still don't have enough fun, especially when you want to burn off your children's energy, I have an amazing idea for you ;) In Gdynia you will find Air Space, i.e. an Inflatable Amusement Park.
And if in your imagination you now see standard, festival bouncy castles, you will be pleasantly surprised. The entire space has been arranged in a truly cosmic way. There you will find attractions inspired by an interplanetary journey. Overcoming inflatable shuttles, climbing rockets, training capsules or an interstellar obstacle course are just some of the challenges facing young adepts dreaming of an adventure on a space station ✨

I hope that this year's holidays will become memorable pages in your family chronicle of adventures and will rekindle the desire to have fun in both the youngest and slightly older ones :)
